This was one of the best cruises we have
been on. It took us less than 20 minutes to board & we had a nice room with a
balcony on the Baja deck. Our room steward Elmer made us feel like we were at
home. We did bring our own pillows, but the pillows on the beds were firm &
would of worked. We ordered continental breakfast daily & it always came on
time. We had late dinner seating & our waiter Marian did a wonderful job keeping
the food coming. We tried all appetizers & the soups were always hot. The
Regal's kitchen is one deck down, so everything must come up the dumb waiter.
The steaks were perfect & the fish overall was good. The best part of the meal
were the rolls & the Dessert, we would order multiple desserts & cookies after
our meal. The buffet was good, but too many people at 2:00. I settled most of my
time eating pizza or visiting the dinning room with my wife. The Internet cafe
worked most of the time. It costs .35 per minute & I spent $ 63.00 for the
cruise. The biggest waste of money was the BINGO. The cruise ship makes too much
money off us passengers. They charge $20.00 for 6 cards & only pay out
$150-175.00 per game to one person. We never won & gave the cruise ship over
$200.00. If you want to save money bring your own wine & champagne & pay the $
10.00 cork fee. We had 14 bottles in our group & finished them all at dinner or
in our room. My sister-in-law was on the Aloha deck & had a Jr. Suite. It was
like being in a fine hotel in Las Vegas. The bathroom was all marble & the room
was 460 squar feet. The balcony could easily hold 6 people. The staff on the
cruise ship was very friendly & helpful. I would certainly recommend this
cruise. I've heard that the Regal has been sold & will leave Princess sometime
next year.
Our naturalist was Dean. We enjoyed his talks on deck 7 while we were out at
sea. Our next cruise is on Princess Europe 2007.
