Great Cruise but We stayed away from our stateroom except for showers. The room was not up to Princess Standards by any means. This was a two segment cruise aboard the Ruby Princess, Room B244. The first segment was from Venice to Barcelona for 12 nights and the second segment was from Barcelona to Ft. Laurendale, FL for 15 nights.

Good Quality bet I am Gluten Free and always had my meals custom prepared. We used the anytime time and found the best food on the Buffet Line at the Carribean Court not Horizon Court. It is a little known area on the very rear of the ship.

The first night of the first segment I noticed a sewer like smell coming from the shower vents and reported this immediately to passenger services for seven consecutive nights before giving up. Meanwhile my wife, I and the room steward, all noticed a leak covering the whole wall adjacent to the bed on the third day of the cruise. With all these problems unresolved on the third day I asked to be assigned to a new room and was told by passenger services that there were none available, which I understood.

On the, start of the next segment for the Cruise which was on the twelfth day in Barcelona a lot of people disembarked. So many that they closed day Plaza Deck 5 and almost everyone was given an upgraded room for the next 15 days. Meanwhile my room was still leaking and stinking until day twenty one when it was finally fixed, some nine days after alternate staterooms became available. I would have been happy with any stateroom that did not leak or stink. This fact troubles me the most. I firmly believe that someone should be held accountable.

I was disturbed enough by this that I refused to pay the $23 a day additional hotel fee and on the second segment and will continue to do so until this matter is resolved with princess to my satisfaction.

For twenty one out of a twenty seven night cruise my wife and I went to bed in fear of the ceiling collapsing under the weight of the water.

Great ! We did trivia 3 times a day, attended lectures, movies and shows.

Stay away from the Aix Provence Tour. No mic, receiver set up. Hard to hear especially over construction noise and the guide had a heavy french accent. My wife speaks French and she even had a hard time understanding her. Also beware there are no Public Restrooms in Aix Provence.

This is in contrast to the Cinque Terra Tour which was excellent. The tour guide was easy to understand, head sets were provided and the subject matter was interesting.

We tried an independent tours in Italy and was not pleased with them/

28 Days, 21 of those days we lived in fear of the cabin roof collapsing. Other then that we had a great time.
