Overall we had a great vacation. We were thrilled with the size of the room,
especially compared to the two previous cruises we took. The price for this
cruise was dirt cheap! The main things people want to know about: The food:
Good, but not as good as the last princess cruise we took. Nothing had enough
salt or spice in it. It was rather bland. Perhaps trying to please those who
aren't into exotic flavors???
The service: It was very good, but not quite like the first cruise.
Perhaps the first time was just more exciting. I have nothing and no one to
complain about. However, we didn't meet that many talkative staff like on other
cruises.
The ship's decor: Very beautiful, elegant, and not overdone.
The pools: AMAZING! This is the first time I have gotten into a pool on
any cruise, because there were so many pool to choose from, you always had room
and privacy. The pool in the back of the ship and the pool by the spa were
almost always empty. I loved that! Same for the jaccuzis. And they are
freshwater pools too. Immaculately clean, as was the entire ship.
The entertainment: Quite good. Then again, I have found the entertainment
on most ships to be really good. The best part was "Princess Idol" which we were
fortunate enough to have many talented singers and musicians on board with us.
The crowd was very enthusiastic which made it better too. The karaoke/talent
shows would last for hours every night. It became so popular that you had to get
there 1/2-1 hr early to get a seat to see your fellow passengers perform!!!
The nightclub: It was nice to see alot of young people (our age group and
younger) on this ship. The other cruises we've been on weren't as jumping as
this cruise. The nightclubs were usually empty at night. Not on this cruise. The
people were partying until sun rise! It was great! The nightclub is on the top
deck, away from everything so there was no noise issues.
Overall it was a great vacation. We didn't mind that our port was changed from
Ocho Rios to Montego Bay (we were notified in advance).
I would go on princess again and can't wait to take another cruise in the
future. I'm so confident in Princess that I have even convinced some of my
friends and co-workers to give them a shot. They're all making their plans with
Princess too.
