Adventure was a wonderful ship. It was beautiful and clean
with excellent service. It felt very much like home for the 7 days we were on
it.
Compared to the cruises I have been on, Adventure had the best food hands down.
The buffet at lunch and breakfast was okay but the dinners in the dinning room
were outstanding. Portofino, the Italian style restaraunt you can pay extra to
go to was great also.
The shows and commics were fair, but the ice skating show was wonderful. There
was a lot to do at night, but the casino tended to be crowded and only had 1
five dollar table. The mid night buffet was not worth going to, as much of the
food was nothing to write home about, but a nice time to take pictures.
We had a balcony room which was beautiful, clean and had plenty of space for the
2 of us. We stayed in the superior class room. The beds were not very
comfortable but that is expected on a cruise.
A few things we did not like about the ship is that we found it very difficult
to find a seat at the pool, even early in the morning, specifically days at sea.
The pools were crowded and the adult pool did not have enough lounge chairs
surronding the area.
The mini-golf was cheesy and small, and it usually was too windy or hot to play
anyway.
Another time we could feel the size of the ship was when it was formal night and
we went to take pictures. We waited on line for at least 45 min. to take
horrible pictures. The wait sometimes was just rediculious.
Getting off of the ship at the end of the trip was un-organized and took several
hours. We almost missed our flight because of this, so I would suggest you leave
early on the last day.
The Islands were for the most part beautiful, excluding Curracco which we found
to be run down, dirty and lacking activities. We went to the aquarium and found
it to be dirty and small, not worth going to. Although there is a surrounding
beach which is beautiful. Curracco was the only Island we did not fully enjoy
and would not go back to.
Overall, the cruise on Adventure was wonderful and we were so sad to leave the
last day. The staff was wonderful and there was always plenty to do. Drinks and
activities like Bingo are expensive ($35.00 per person to play) but you just
have to go knowing your going to spend money. We loved the trip and would highly
recommend Adventure!
