My family and I sailed on the RCCL-Adventure of the Seas in August 2003. The ship is beautiful. We have gone on five cruises total and this is by far the prettiest ship we have ever been on. We always go on Carnival and decided to change. What a mistake that was. The food on this cruise was awful. I mean awful. Down to the coffee! The coffee was awful. If you plan on going on this cruise, take a minute and listen to what I am saying. They serve the same old menu for breakfast every morning. The food has no taste! They should fire the chef and hire Carnival’s. Portofino’s which is a restaurant that you pay $20.00 for is excellent. But, why should you have to pay for good food – you’ve already paid. The kids programs are great and the pools are good. There is an adult pool only which is good. The spa is more advertising and selling than the actual event. The ports are good. We loved San Juan and Aruba. The bargains that you get in St. Thomas are awesome. You can save a lot of money on jewelry. Even the drinks were just so-so. Unlike Carnival. The fun, the food and everything is excellent. I won’t ever go back on RCCL – any ship. I will always go on Carnival. Like I said, listen to what I’m saying about the food. It’s not worth having a beautiful ship and the food stinks.
