The cruise we took with Royal Caribbean was ruined due to an incident involving Royal Caribbean staff taking our camera, and the response from Royal Caribbean following the incident.

On day 2 of the cruise, a camera was removed from my wife's purse. We reported the missing camera to Guest Relations and searched the lounge where the camera was taken. We checked in with Guest Relations daily looking for the camera but felt that nothing was done for us. On the final day of the cruise, repeated announcements were made about another missing camera (not ours). We checked again with Guest Relations (useless) and asked the lounge staff again about our camera. The repeated announcements about the other missing camera spooked the Royal Caribbean crew, and we were mysteriously told to come back in an hour to check on our camera again. After several more visits to the lounge, Royal Caribbean crew acted as if the camera had been found behind the bar. We were excited to see our camera again. However, there were multiple photos on the camera of a Royal Caribbean crew members' room. We brought the matter to the attention of onboard security and spent much of the final cruise evening with security interviewing suspects and providing a written statement. We left the cruise without a single photo of any of the amazing excursions that we took, just the memory that we were robbed by Royal Caribbean staff while onboard their ship.

In response to this incident, we have been offered a small discount on a future cruise. Why on earth would my wife and I want to cruise with Royal Caribbean again? Royal Caribbean did absolutely nothing to recover my stolen property, minimized the incident when I was able to recover the camera myself, and took no responsibility for ruining the vacation that my wife and I spent thousands of dollars on. We'll definitely be looking into another cruise line that treats its customers with respect.
