We enjoyed our first cruise! We flew into Baltimore and had a family member to transport us from the airport to ship and back. This greatly lessened the expense (Parking is $15 per day, airport transfer $36 per person per trip) and allowed us to see family. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary on this cruise and had a fantastic time. While it was a full ship, we were able to find quiet places to read, lay in the sun and just relax throughout the trip. We encountered a bit of Tropical Storm Emily but managed to generally stay out of her way, by leaving Labadee, our final port, an hour early. We had a few nights of rougher seas, but it really wasn't bad. It is a matter of when not if we cruise with Royal Caribbean again.

We ate one breakfast in the Windjammer and then enjoyed the dining room for breakfasts. Windjammer gets quite crowded with people who seem to think this is the last meal they will ever see. Selection in both places was good, the dining room offered a fresh fruit and cereal bar and a special of the day in addition to a classic breakfast menu. Service in the dining room was good.

We enjoyed most of our lunches in the Windjammer. We learned that one of us would sit at a table while the other got their food. We felt the selection was good, including unique foods that you do not always have access to at home. We ate in the dining room twice, and this was good food, but not a lot of choice. Salad bar was excellent.

Dinner - all I can say is wow. We received a call from the Matre' d asking if he could move us because the family we were seated with wanted to eat alone. He moved us to a table for two by the window. We ended up talking to the family next to us daily and enjoyed our new spot. Our waiter and assistant waiter were excellent, setting the bar very high for future cruises. Even our original waiter knew us by name after seeing us on the fist night and again at breakfast on day 8. My husband and I are both eating healthy and portion conscious. We felt the portions were appropriate and we both managed to still loose weight while enjoying wonderful foods. You could always request more if you wanted, but we were always satisfied, never hungry. We'd often take a piece of fruit with us for a snack later in the day. Free snacks were available though out the ship. I really don't see how anyone could go hungry and understand how the average weight gain can be 10 lbs per person. We just ate smart and continued our exercise routines.

My husband is 6'8" and we really didn't have a problem in our interior stateroom. The shower is of course small, but functional. Our cabin attendant was thorough and excellent. The room was clean and well cared for. We had an issue with the safe not working but that was fixed within 10 minutes of my request. Nothing was dirty, ripped or broken and we had ample space to unpack and stow our suitcases and belongings.

We came on the cruise for relaxation and found plenty of quiet spaces. I enjoyed the Sunday morning worship service. We both enjoyed the Captain's meet and greet, the Q&A with the captain and staff. Some of the bands were a bit loud in the Centrum and repetitive but it was tolerable. We also enjoyed the Love and Marriage Game show and several shows.

We enjoyed para sailing on St. Thomas and snorkeling on Labadee. We took a walk around San Juan and Samana. If I did the same itinerary again and did not book an excursion on Samana, I probably would remain on the ship. It is a very poor area, but I understand that this does bring in money for the locals, but they were a bit aggressive for my comfort zone.

Amazing, wonderful and will do again. Would even consider same ship and itinerary.
