This was our first cruise and our honeymoon! We had a great time! We were concerned about feeling cramped on a ship with a large number of people, however that wasn't the case. It wasn't difficult to find a public space that was quite and relaxing. The only negative thing we could think of about the cruise had nothing to do with the cruise line but it had everything to do with smokers on board (there everywhere no matter where you vacation). Cough......Hack hack...........

There are designated smoking areas, which is fine however if you're a non smoker and you want to be in that particular club/bar for dancing it can be a "drag". The other thing that stands out in our mind is the awesome jeep safari tour we took in Mexico; I watched the person under the umbrella next to me put his cigarete butts in the pristeen sand of this amazingly beautiful and clean beach! –I wanted to tell him that the world is not his ashtray!!!!! (In case you were wondering yes, we are smoke sensitive people) On that excursion, we had to pair up with another couple (4 to a jeep). Needless to say we picked a young couple like ourselves who weren't smokers and we all had a great time!!!!!!!! We highly recommend this excursion! The only thing we would recommend to Royal Caribbean is to have a non smoking cruise and advertise it as such, to see what the response would be. We would bet that the ship would book quickly with people who can't stand cigarette smoke (however we have been wrong before, maybe my husband and I are the minority, after all the canc. . . I mean cigarette companies are still in business.)

Anyway the boat, food, service, atmosphere on the cruise was great!!!! The ship is beautifully elegant and very clean! The windjammer cafe is beautiful (a 360 degree view of the ocean)! We were expecting to have the feel of a cafeteria not a nice restaurant. The main dinning room was also very nice. We ate in the main dinning room every night (6 o'clock sitting) except for one night we ate in the windjammer which we highly recommend for that intimate, quite, dinner for two. Our tablemate's were nice (1/2 of them anyway, conversation was strained at times) in the main dinning room. We could see that other people clicked at other tables and we didn't opt for a new table assignment because we didn't want to offend our present company at the time. We loved the formal dinning room for breakfast. Every day you would sit with someone new. We got to meet some interesting and fun people!

Stateroom: Our room was great! We had a balcony and loved it! One morning we had coffee and danish on the balcony while watching the ocean. There was also plenty of storage in our room for our things.

The shows on the ship vary and appeal to different age groups. We saw a Beatles cover band that was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We also saw the Platters that were good but not our style of music. There were some "dance productions" that we didn't go to because we aren't into that type of show. We found that on the ship there is something for everyone of any age group.

The thing that we love about a cruise vacation is you don't have to worry about budgeting money for meals or entertainment on a daily basis. Everything is taken care of and is of excellent quality. If we flew to each island and paid for fresh food and great entertainment/ambiance it would add up to be much higher than we paid for the cruise. Royal Caribbean provides excellent value for your dollar. We highly recommend a cruise vacation!!!!!!
