This cruise was very disappointing. For the price we were expecting an updated ship (we stayed in a Junior Suite)and a better class of people.

It was myself, husband and 2 daughters, ages 3 years and 7 months. We left from Bayonne, NJ which was not very pretty but was easy to park and get on the ship. As soon as we boarded there was a faint stale cigarette smell covered up by lysol and air fresheners. The ship was very 80's..decorated in gold and brass with lots of mirrors and stained carpets that I think were one time a blue, which now has faded to a grey.

Our "suite" as they call it was roomy for a cruise ship but extremely run down. The carpets were torn and the outside balcony had actual holes in it plugged up with what looked like silly puddy. We had to practically run down our stateroom attendant to get us a pack and play that should have been set up already. I tried to put my daughters baby food in the mini fridge but was told that it was just to "chill" things. So I had to constantly make sure we had a sufficient ice supply so it would not go bad. Again, having to track down the attendant for it. You think with them stressing the "tips" he would have made sure we had it.

Please make sure that you are well aware that it is VERY ROUGH SEAS when you leave from NYC. Apparently the people who worked on the ship knew it because they kept telling me that it is never smooth sailing to Bermuda. That night was 15ft waves and gail force winds. I have cruised several times in the Caribbean and have never experienced rocking like that. It was quite scary.

We booked a train car ride excursion and could not go because of the rain. They still ran the excursion and when I asked for a refund because I could not bring my 7 month old out in that weather they refused.

People are permitted to smoke on board which I found disgusting and the grade of people on this ship ranged from poor to scary. People were actually sitting in the corner with drool coming out of their mouths.

In all, terrible experience. It reminded me of a Sheraton and for the price you would think it was the Four Season's. Never again. Next time we will just stay at a Four Season's. At least you know what to expect!
