We were traveling as a group of 10 family and friends. The ship was beautiful and roomy. We were disappointed in the fact that there were many more passengers on board compared to Adventure of the Seas, which we had been on the 2 cruises prior to this one, but the venues for evening activities had not increased in size. We enjoy going to the showroom after dinner and then to the pub or schooner bar for drinks and entertainment. We missed the show in the showroom a couple of nights because we did not get there 30-45 minutes prior to the start in order to get a seat (and we were not looking for all 10 to sit together either) and only two nights did we get a spot in either the pub or schooner bar in order to enjoy the entertainment there. Compared to Adventure this was disappointing.

The food was exactly what we expected from our previous cruises on Royal Caribbean. We love the dining room experience and food is top notch. The Wind Jammer buffet is a great breakfast or lunch experience. There is something for everyone.

My wife and I had a promenade room. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that we could not hear anything that was going on down on the promenade.

I enjoyed to the flow rider as did my 23 year old son and his friend and their wives. My wife enjoyed just relaxing by the pool and being waited on. We do not care if we are entertained during the day, but we do enjoy the night life.

At St. Thomas we took the trolley into town and hired our own tour, which was a tour of the island. At $20 a person it was well worth it. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. At St. Maarteen, we took the water taxi to town and enjoyed shopping. On a previous cruise, we had purchased the America's Cup yatching experience, again well worth the price. Not impressed with Coco Cay.

Our overall cruise experience with Royal Caribbean as a whole has been very satisfactory. We have booked another cruise but not on Freedom. We are going to try the Mariner in Sept 2010 and the Mexican Riviera.
