Itinerary: Eastern Caribbean

My husband and I have been on 6 other cruises. We have cruised on Princess, Carnival, Costa, and NCL. We have been to Alaska, Western and Eastern Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii. We decide to try RCI this time. We where with two other couples. We have never payed book price for our cruises, as we had to do this time with RCI. I do not think sailing with RCI is worth the extra money.

We had read the reviews and was not expected great food. So we where not disappointment. The service was great. We sat with 14 other cruiser. We where in and out of the dinning room in about an hour and a half. We cruised twice on NCL and it took two hours for dinner every night. Most guest where late for the after dinner show. The food at the Windjammer was ok. The food at the cafe and pizza place was the same every day. And was also ok.

Our cabin was nice. We only had one problem. If we had our beds made as queen's there was no room to get off the bed other than clawing to the end of the bed. And if the phone rang you had to claw across the bed to get to the phone. If you had the beds as two twines there was a lot more room. I thought the bathroom was a little bigger than on other ships. And the shower door was nice instead of a shower curtain. Our cabin girl made the cuties towel animals.

The activities where a lot of fun. We seen The Osmond Brother they where great. The ice show was ok. The costume where lacking in sparkle.

We had ask for a private table for 6. They said, the ship was full and this was all they had. If you try and use your cell phone there is a $7.95 per minute that the ship charge's. The internet cost was $.65 per minute. We bought a package for $35.00 for an hour. Make sure and check to see if you have used all your package, the ship will start charging you by the minute if your package runs out and not tell you. If you are a SMOKER this ship is not for you. You can only smoke at the Sky Bar and under the life boats. The other ship we where on there where always tables by the pool on one side of the ship for smoking but not on Freedom. You can also smoke on one side of the Casino. There where a lot of electric wheel chairs. The ship was clean everywhere we went. The ship will give you jewelry coupons for shore. We would go into the jewelry stores and say we have a coupon and the store would give you what was on the coupon. They did not try and sell us anything. We took the Cocoa Beach Shuttle for our transportation to and from the ship. They where great.
