This was Our Honeymoon, and one that we will never forget!! It was HORRIBLE, I would not reccomend this to anyone, only if you are a big drinker, or little kid. All there was to do was drink, and I think that is because they want you to be blinded by how bad it is and to make the food try to taste better!! We cannot get this Honeymoon back although we will try to somewhere else! Please PLease take my advice, I would not recommend this trip to anyone, I tell you the tuth!!! I just hope that others do listen to this, we are just speaking from our true feelings. My wife and I recently took a cruise on the ship, Freedom of the Seas, on Jan 30th to Feb 6th. Ports of call were, Cocoa Cay, St. Thomas, and St. Marten. We were Very excited for this trip, and were looking forward to sailing on your ship. This was our Honeymoon trip, and first cruise as a married couple. My wife has cruised before, but with Carnival cruise lines. When we returned to the ship after our day in St. Marten, my wife and I were seriously contimplaiting running to our rooms, grabbing all our stuff, pack our bags and getting off of the ship to spend even more money to stay in a resort and buy plane tickets home. We did not want to spend one more day aboard. If we hadn't gotten back with only 10 minutes left till we took off, we would have done it. However we knew that we were not able to pack our things in such a short period of time, and that was litterally the only thing stopping us from doing so. We were so excited to get off the boat Sunday moring when we got to Port Canaveral. As we were walking off of the ship that morning, and watching the people waiting to get on, we so desperatly wanted to warn them about what they were getting into. But how do you tell someone after they have spent $3,000 plus that they are wasting their money. We knew then they would learn a valuable lesson!!

As for the staff in general... They were VERY bad!! everyone was extremely unfriendly, lack of smiles, not being curtious, often pushing us out of the way like there time was of more importance, often times made us feel like we were bothering them when we had questions. We had asked the lady at the Sea Trek about snokeling, she was sitting at her computer, would not get up to talk to me, Very rude to me and treated me like I was stupid, and made me feel that way too. There were brochures on the table and I wanted to know a few things, but when I asked I was met with attitude and rudeness. I thought she was there to help me, not treat me like a little kid who was bugging his parents while they were working. I paid for service not attitude!!! The waiter in the dining room was so rude he actually made my wife cry, for that reason we never entered the dinning room the rest of our trip. This occured on the first formal night of the trip. When we would go down in the morning to the Cafe Promenade it was clear the man behind the counter had little to no exprience. It would literally take 10 to 15 minutes for us to recieve 1 small Chai Tea, and 1 Americano, and then to find out it wasnt what we had ordered at all. I was a Barista for 4 years, and I know how long it should take to make these kinds of drinks... The coffee was disgusting and gross, burnt almost all the time! We heard many complaints about the coffee, And food! You seemed very strong about the "Save the Waves" program and recyling, but yet all the way untill the 6th day, I had to open many little plastic cream packs for my coffee which takes alot of time and creates alot of waste. Then it seemed like somone finally got the idea and put a pitcher of cream out on the last 2 days... why? Not very Green in our eyes.... Not to mention I had asked about a pitcher for cream on the second day, and was rudely told, " the cream packets are on the table in a bucket, we don't have a pitcher!"

Over the years I have heard people brag about how wonderful the food is on this cruise line. Being a chef I had high expectations, but after the first day I would have to disagree with that. The food had no nutritional value, VERY BLAND, and poorly executed. It seemed at times like there were leftovers from the nights and the mornings before, and then put out for us to eat. The eggs were HORRIBLE, we were told there were two kinds to choose from, either scramblers or "real" eggs. However we noticed that wasn't the case, it was mostly the scramblers that were severed to us, and they were like wet, yellow, mush. We choked them down so that we could at least get some protein in us, and could barely take more than two bites of them at a sitting. The pastry's were dry and flavorless, I get better at my supermarket, and that's not saying much, all the food was embarrassing for a chef to put out, how do you stand behind your work on that one? I would never buy your cook book, and cant believe people did. I know in my restaurant, none of that food would have been aloud to go out to someones table. The bacon 95% of the time barely cooked, and if it was cooked, it was burnt... The selection didnt have much imagination, and felt like we were throwin the same things every night and day, with a little twist on the receipe to make them different. Alot of the desserts were sugar free, and done poorly, In fact I was shocked that your food and Bev director aloud most of this food to be served to your passangers on a daily basis. I felt like I was eating at a retirement home cafeteria, and Most of those that I have eaten at were better than this. Your food had more right to be at a place like that than on a cruise line that we paid good money for. Not only was the food bad, the buffet stations were extremely disorganized. Which made it difficult to tell where the line began and ended. People were always running into eachother or cutting in line because of it. I feel another reason people rushed to cut infront of others was because the food was not replinsed in a timely manner. Much of the salad condiments were empy after the first 30 minutes and stayed that way till dinner ended or untill my wife and I were sick of being up there and waiting. I found on muliple occasions foerign objects, such as hair in our food, and lost my appetite and often would just opt for a box of creal, you cant go wrong there. We actually lost weight on this trip do to the quality of food. It was extremely dissapointing to say the least. Your beef, for burgers was like my elementry school lunch meat same goes for almost all the rest of the food. My wife has a Carnival Cruise experience to compare it, and it was an extreme let down from her expectations. And with me not having anything to compare this experience to, I to was upset and horribly dissapointed. My wife and I eat very well and are not fans of any chain restaurants. But I had never been so excited as we were when we saw a Chilis in the Orlando airport, it was gourmet compared to the buffet lines and food on the ship!!! We sincerely Hope this helps all your future passangers. I tell the truth on every word, please take in carefull consideration!

ok, nice to have a balcony, clean... other than that not much to brag about...

The entertainment... Where do I begin, It was a JOKE!!! They seemed unrehearsed, didnt know the lyrics to the songs and looked embarassing doing it. Your "activities" director seemed like a one man show, and he was the one who was singing, " I dont know the lyrics" this was on one of your "big" shows in the promenade...? The dancers and other entertainment were horrible, We were embarassed to be there... And not to mention the 7 minute "Circus" you put on at the end, you certainly made it your own kind of circus, and I do mean Circus!!! And not to mention I have the WHOLE 7 Minutes on my camea for all to see! It was just people throwin in costumes and walking up and down back and forth to circus music, the only tallent was the people hanging from the circle twirling 8 feet above the bridge, BRAVO!! My wife owns her own business, and has worked as a hair sylist for 8 years. She was so exctied to take advantage of some of your salon services. She thanks God that she started out with the eyebrow wax, which was one of the worst expereiences ever. After that we did NOT want to put any more of our money into the services aboard the ship. We called early in the morning to make an appointment, and it was clear when we arrived that the appointment was not scheduled. As we sat there watching and listening to them speak amongst them selves in another lanquage on what to do, we were rudely shown back to the waiting room and told someone will be with us shortly. After 10 minutes of waiting, the Massage Therapist came to get my wife to wax her eyebrows...? She let us know that she normally didnt do this, but when they were busy and if she had a little free time, she will help out. It was clear she had no training in that department. She did what she wanted, not what my wife had asked for, now instead of having full eyebrows like she asked, they are very thin! When she went to take this up with the "Manager" of the salon/spa she was treated badly, and the manager had poor customer service skills and went on to hang up on my wife before she was through talking.
