Ship: Grandeur of the Seas
Sailing Date: March 30th, 2006
Itinerary: Western Caribbean
The good stuff: The entire staff was excellent. Our wait staff, cabin
stewards and bar waiters were all wonderful. They made the cruise. We also
enjoyed the entertainment. The shows and musicians were very good. Overall, the
food was good (...but, not near as good as on the Navigator of the Seas).
The negatives: We did not like this ship. The bed in our stateroom was very uncomfortable. In our bathroom and in other areas of the ship, we experienced significant sewer smells. We also found this cruise to have a very consistent presence of cigarette smoke. RCCL did not do a good job of enforcing the designated smoking areas. We ran into people smoking in the 3rd floor walkways, in the Windjammer and all over the common areas. We do not smoke and found the second hand smoke all over the boat annoying.
