We went on this cruise with two other couples, one of whom has cruised with us many times and the other couple who had never cruised before. This was the perfect introductory cruise - a day at sea, followed by a great day in Cozumel, followed by another day at sea and then home. It is the perfect weekend getaway. The ship is as nice as we had heard, and the food was delicious.

All of which brings me to this one point: I just read a review by Dave, who traveled on Grandeur on March 6th of this year, and I noticed something that everyone should watch out for. We also had Jennifer at our table, and YES she is great at what she does. She brought us extras and made great suggestions. She ALSO told us, on the last night, that the people at the early seating stiffed her. She seemed quite upset that evening, but the assistant waiter was as happy as ever, which made us a bit suspicious. Now, after reading Dave's post, I am pretty sure this is a regular ploy of hers to get patrons to pass along extra tips based on sympathy. I doubt seriously that with her great people skills she would get stiffed twice in one month at the early seating. Just thought I would pass this along as something to watch out for on an otherwise great trip. It could happen on any ship.
