Upon entering the port in New Orleans we could see the ship and our excitement grew. My daughter and her husband and three children and I and two friends had been looking forward to this cruise for a good while. We always book early.

I was amazed at the beauty of the ship. It was highly decorated and very clean.

I spent lots of time roaming about enjoying the ship and its art. There were Christmas Trees everywhere as this was the week before Christmas.

I guess my only complaint was in the Childrens areas. While they were big and spacious and had lots to do, the crew there seemed more interested in reminding us to pickup at 5 instead making the kids feel welcome. We had been spoiled by a wonderful crew on another cruise lines that made our kids feel extremely welcome and still a year later write letters and keep in touch. I do realize it is a business and friendships cannot be made each trip however they did not feel as welcome as we the adults did where we went.

The Drifters proved to take me back to memories of my teenage years. What a great surprise that they gave a concert.

The ports of call were enjoyable I see Progresso growing and becoming a great port in a few years.

The food was good, but not exceptional.I was disappointed that several times we wanted to eat both places to eat were closed. But the wait staff made the experience a wonderful one.

My favorite spot was in the lounge area beside the salon where you could look out to where you were leaving. It was a great experience overall.
