Service
- Waiter was good although he did request we give him a good review on the end-of-cruise comment card (we were going to anyway and did, but making the request was bad form);
- Assistant waiter was only fair as he could not explain to the bar waiter the kind of drink I wished (a vodka martini);
- Guest services were poorly trained in my view - three examples:

- I was not satisfied with the content and value of one of our excursions and in person relayed this to a guest services rep at the excursion desk while she was prompt in allegedly forwarding on my concerns, she ended our follow-up call by saying, ˜None of the other 250 passengers on the same excursion complained" which was said to soothe me but was irrelevant to how I felt about the excursion or to resolve my complaint “ fyi: I did not request my money back nor did they offer it“ expressing my dissatisfaction was made to improve the excursion offered.
- It took 3 in-person requests to both the Tides maitre-d and guest services over a three day period to get a table for 2 “ on two occasions, restaurant staff committed to call me back about my request but never did“ I had to always go back and follow up with them.
- While attempting to ask a guest services rep a question about the US customs form, she interrupted my question to deal with another guest reaching across me to hand a phone to that guest. A much better form would have been to advise me up front that she had not finished with another guest and that she might have to interrupt our conversation briefly to do so.

Itinerary was great as 4 or the 5 ports were ones we had not visited.

Entertainment - Marty Allen!! I thought he was dead! Is that the best they could get?

Overall, we would not chose this ship again and probably would not use RCI.

Food - Main restaurant Tides: middle of the road, nothing spectacular, a bit repetitive; buffet restaurant Windjammer: good, with much variety; we did not eat at any of the $+ restaurants.

Small compared to all other cruise ships we have been on. The cabin steward was great.

Don't miss: Columbia - old city tour and Costa Rica - ecotour

Stay away: Panama - train and bus tour
