My wife and I planned a cruise on 2/4/11 for our anniversary. We missed the boat because of a snow storm in San Antonio (the first in over 7 years). We tried to see if we be compensated by the cruiseline; however, they will not do anything. This cruise was paid in full and it was a total lost for us. We did not get the insurance because we knew we were not going to cancel it and we never dreamed San Antonio would have a snow storm. Whenever we talk to the customer relations department, they just keep reminding us how we "should have bought the insurance". They claimed that they CAN'T do anything, but I believe there is something they can do. They just choose not to do anything. My friends had the same thing happen to them on Carnival Cruiselines, and they were able to reschedule their trip. I know now that I should have chosen a different cruiseline.
