We have been on several cruises all very different this was the shortest one. I
have to say I much prefer the longer ones. We were very lucky we had an outside
cabin with a porthole unfortunately we had a lifeboat stuck outside so we could
not see much but at least we had daylight, with the cabins being so small I
would have felt very claustaphobic other wise. The cabin attendant was
brilliant, If she didnt know something she would find out. The towel elephants
etc. hung in various parts of the cabin with my sunglasses on was a great touch.
We found the food and the service in the restaurant really good the only down
side was the early sitting at 6pm.It was far too early esp. on the formal
evening, On the middle day we had to stay at sea because of the hurricane
unfortunatly it seems this private island and bbq was one of the best parts of
the cruise. That day was not a lot of fun . The deck and all the sun beds were
full it was boiling hot with no breeze , no ones fault. The pool obviously was
also full I persuaded my elderley mother to sit on the side next to the steps
unfortunatly a young boy pushed her and she tore a muscle in her arm and
finished up on strong pain killers and her arm in a sling after spending a few
hours in the hospital on board the last night of the cruise we missed the early
dinner because mum fell asleep due to the strong tablets and when we finally
tried to get some food we had no chance only a piece of cardboard pizza yuk. The
last let down was the queuing to get our passports back to disembark it was
horrendous 3 hours The americans went straight through understandable when we
finally got to the end of the line because we were british they hardly looked at
us we went through. Why cannot the brits have a fast track instead of being
lumped in with the rest of the world? Its the last time We will cruise via the
usa. Also with the royal caribbean every where you look its tip tip tip.I got
quite paranoid was I giving enough or not when to give it when not to how much I
have to say I prefer those cruises where the tipping is included and if you get
special treatment you can directly tip the person concerned
