5 out of 10. This ship is pretty old. At night they would close down half of
floor 14 for remodeling. That was pleasant, trying to get pizza right next to
painters. The crew is a little shady. We are returning Crown and Anchor members
and told our cabin attendant three times and visited the loyalty desk with no
coupon book this time. Then in key west, my husband and friend were in a jet ski
accident. They didn't make it back on the ship in time for departure. While our
friend is in the hospital and my husband by his side, the purser's desk pages me
to come up there. The someone who can barely speak even a slurred English, asks
for a credit card and bills me $600 for them not getting on the ship. They told
me to contact US Customs in ohio for a refund if I provided documentation for
the accident. Well after we arrived home, I called US Customs in OHIO, they said
that Royal Caribbean was never billed anything by them and the Jones Act didn't
apply to cruise passengers that had been cleared by customs in a US port. So
after days of relaying this message to Royal Caribbean, I finally found someone
with a heart to refund our money. We are going back to NCL, for better food, and
WAY better service.
