We were also on the "hurricane" cruise. I would have
to disagree with the other review on how RCCL responded to the changes.
The overall cruise was wonderful. Excellent service, food in dining room only
so-so. Buffet was actually better and not quite as long. But the best part of
the cruise "eating experience" was Chops Grill. By far, the best steak I have
ever had. The service, environment etc... was perfect. Make reservations for the
first and last night of your cruise. The 20.00 fee is well worth it.
We had a wonderful cabin, on the back of the ship along with what I would call a
deck, not a small balcony. Our deck was as big as our room. There was lots of
storage and place to put away clothes. We are going back on this cruise because
of the way we were treated and the amenities on the ship.
A word about the hurricane. Because the cruise line did not know what mother
nature was doing and when she would be through, I feel they did as well as could
be expected. I was not looking for free handouts and recognize the expense in
keeping us on the ship 2 extra days. The bus ride back to port canaveral was
long but it was free, clean and an alternative to being stuck in Miami. I was
pleased with the way RCCL treated us.
