Our sixth cruise, fifth w/RCL. Second on the Mariner. Lovely ship, very
clean. Getting on and off was a breeze. Cabin attendant, waiter and
assistant waiter were all excellent. Big name entertainment - The Drifters
and Ben Vereen. Excellent. Musical shows were okay, nothing special. We
enjoy Bingo. Unfortunately, it was obvious that the bingo director did
not, and wanted to get it over with ASAP. Sinan, an assistant cruise
director who called the last games of each session, was hilarious. We
would suggest he be given the bingo job. A word about the food. The dining
room was very good - better than in the past. The Windjammer could use
some improvement. Also, we ate twice at Johnny Rockets. We paid $4 each
for a service charge to eat a hot dog or burger and then paid for our
sodas. It did not seem too busy. We would suggest that they drop the
service charge. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and find RCL to be a
great family cruise line. We find the staff friendly and helpful and the
ships clean and well maintained.
