What a beautiful ship! We had an inside cabin on deck 9 aft which was the perfect location. Just up 2 flights of stairs to the Windjammer Buffet or the pools. Right below us on level 5 is where we had dinner at the gorgeous Sound of Music dining room. Down 1 more level or 2 was the ice rink & photo area. The theatre was at the forward of the ship but it was not a far walk. The ship layout is one of the best I've been on. The crew & staff were great & always smiling. James, the cruise director was so funny, he was one of the highlights for sure. Enjoyed the Captain's announcements each morning & his sense of humor was a big plus. The food & entertainment was something we looked forward to each day. We loved the excursions...did the Dunn's River Falls/Swim With the Dolphins in Jamaica. The falls are very exciting, must try it...they are challenging so be careful. The dolphin swim was fun, we did swim in the water where the dolphins were, but we did not actually swim holding onto the dolphins. We got to interact with them which was a real treat. Jamaica is beautiful...but BEWARE of the vendors. They come right up to you & give you items & say they are free gifts. Then they bring out other items & ask for money for the item they "supposedly" gave you as the gift. We had 2 of them even come up to us as we walked by the outside market & grab us by the arm to buy from their things. They were rentlentless! We swam with the stingrays on Grand Cayman. Highly recommended, very fun & unique experience. When in Cozumel we tried Snuba & boy are we glad we did! It was so awesome. If you like to snorkel or swim, try it. The shopping in Cozumel was so much better than Jamaica. The vendors were so much more friendly & no pressure. My son rode a wave runner in Labadee & had a blast. I just laid back on a lounger & enjoyed the beauty. Would highly recommend The Mariner of the Seas!!!!
