This was a first cruise for my family. I did read over many reviews and decided to give it a try. For our first experience on a cruise ship we had a wonderful time.

No problems checking in on departure day. Dinner in the main dining room was very good, just what we had expected. The service in the dining room was excellent.
The show was good entertainment, we had our older teenage children with us and they also enjoyed the show. A different show each night.

We made 3 stops on this adventure: San Diego, Catalina Island, Mexico. We had a wonderful time at each place. Went to the zoo in San Diego, walked around and did some shopping in Catalina. Same thing for Mexico did some shopping. We did not eat there; we went back to the ship for late lunch.

I do recommend that anyone with teenagers taking this cruise, get 2 rooms. The rooms are small as we expected but it did get a bit cramped.

The pool area was nice on the upper deck; the main deck had music that was loud.

Drinks are overpriced, but strong.

Staff was friendly; we especially enjoyed being spoiled by having the room taken care of twice a day. Our beds were made in the morning while we had breakfast, and turn down service in the evening during dinner. A mint on the pillow every night with a towel shaped into a different animal each night.

The ship did rock a bit a couple nights, made for an upset stomach.

I would recommend for a first time cruise to check it out and see what it’s all about. I feel it’s a value for the money. Room, transportation, and meals.
