This was my 3rd cruise, but the first for my wife. I chose this cruise because it was not too short and not to long. I wanted my wife to get a feel for cruising. Since she had nothing to compare it too her expectations were middle of the road. Our trip far exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and they went out of their way to please the guests. The drinks were fairly reasonable. Our bartab was 150 bucks for the 4 nights. Drinks are about 6-8 dollars and glass of wine 8-10 dollars. This cruise is worth every penny we had such a good time, we drove home and talked about our next one. I think she is hooked.

The food passed my expectations. I recommend to tiger shrimp for dinner. Everything tasted very fresh. I would compare the food to a more fine dining experience. The meals were 3 course with dinners for every sort. I enjoyed the shrimp coctail so much that I ordered it every night even though it was only on menu the first night. As I said, they go above and beyond to please the guest.

Wind Jammer buffet- Average buffet food. It was good, not great. But what you expect from a buffet? There was quite a large variety though. The buffet is served for breakfast and lunch. Nothing to brag to friends about, but sufficient.

Stateroom was cleaned by our attentant twice a day, something that impressed us. They even make animals out of towels and place them on the bed. State room not overly large, but adequate for 2 people. Shower only fits one person so don't get any ideas. haha. Decor is from the 90's so dont be alarmed. Overall very clean though.

We loved the onboard activities. We played battle of the sexes one night. Sang Kareoke another. We went to she shows(which are ok) not great. We love to dance so we danced 'The Circuit" almost every night till 1 am. WE have kids, but did not bring them on this cruise. Next time I will bring them because the have many kid friendly activities as well. The ship has 2 pools and 2 whirlpools, but the whirlpools are hard to get spot in because they are so small. The Fitness Room is also very nice and quite large. I ran every morning on treadmill so I would not feel guilty for eating, eating and more eating throughout the day. They also had a midnight buffet on night three.

I recommend Atlantis when you get to nassau. The taxi was 4 dollars per person each way. The resort is quite large. For 35 dollars you get a tour and axcess to walk about. You can also spend 60 to get pool access, but we opted not to do that portion.

Nassau was fairly clean, not to much to see there though. We shopped on Bay street and wife got a nock off coach purse for 40 bucks.

Cococay was nice. The excursions are overpriced though. I think they are subcontracted out by Royal. Jet ski rental for 2 people was 120 bucks for an hour. come on. We just layed out and swam and enjoyed ourselves. The lunch buffet was comparable to the buffet on ship plus seagulls. They were everywhere and annoying.

Overall our experience was better than expected. I would rate this ship 7/10. For the price you can't beat it. Now it it not over the top extravagent, but everything was clean. The best portion of the cruise for me was dinner. That food is top notch and if you like something, order seconds, I did twice. I have no complaints about anything onboard. I am going to book another cruise with Royal very soon. There is something for everybody to do of all ages. If you find yourself board, then maybe this ship is not for you. I hope this review helps. Enjoy, you will not be disappointed.
