Our first cruise as newlyweds, I was not impressed with royal carribean or the ship itself! you get what you pay for, the public areas are good but the ship to me looks way out dated (and does look so 1991! maybe even 1981!) We took a suite for 580 a person, so the balcony was nice and romantic.

On our first day they messed up our luggage and tried to compenstate us with champange and strawberries but it didnt make up for the all the time we missed the first day on board waiting for our bags to with our clothes to arrive.( and we flew down to florida from NY wanted to change for dinner and couldnt until 9 at night- we had been on board since 1 and they set sail at 4 i didnt feel fresh at all ) Cant comment much about the food since we have special dietary needs , but we did enjoy the soft serve ice cream all day ( a little sad that was on one the higlights of the ship) and they did seem to run out of food towards the end when we asked for a banana . The waiter staff was nice and the room attendants also treated us with respect.

As for activities The cruise charges more for the excursions we discovered than if you call the rental /service places directly.... but we did the sub scuba it was amazing, being from NYC i guess we werent impressed with the shows we had some good laughs but the finale was like a really bad off off broadway show. Its funny because the event coordinators hosting bingo, finish the lyrics and other on board actvities know the prizes and activites well .... suck. Partcipants win prizes like key chains or royal carribean highlighters or as they said "more crap you can pack" it felt like they were just doing their jobs with a saracsim to try and make us enjoy it but with little euthiasim. Im not as an experienced cruiser as others but I would not go back on this line id try another cruise companyy all together.

Id reccomend this cruise to singles and 20's with friend who dont want to pay a lot but just want to make the most of it on their own by partying and drinking.
