I have to say this was my first cruise ever, and I was very skeptical about it at first. But I was assured by my good friend who has been on the Monarch of the Seas that it is fantastic. So I booked it for my husband, myself, my 3 boys and my in-laws, and may I say it was FABULOUS!!!! From the moment we got on to the moment we left we had an awesome time. The kids loved the Adventure Ocean Club..the staff was so friendly and the kids loved all of them. Our Dinner at Vincents was AMAZING, to say the least...the kids loved the magic tricks our last waiter did, and our waiter cut up my father in laws food every night for him, since my father in law has huntingtons disease..it's hard for him to cut up his own food. I love Katie...the activities manager, the Michael Jackson trivia was hysterical..she can really ham it up!!! Marc the Cruise Director was awesome...my husband wants to take Marc on all the Cruise ships with us...he really was funny and very upbeat. Sindy....was great also, very funny and energetic.

The food was great, especially the Pizza. Since I'm from NY I'm very particular about Pizza. But when my sons couldn't stop eating it, I thought I would give it a try, and it was AWESOME, just like the Pizza I'm used to. I loved the fact that you can have as much as you want. My son one night had 3 bowls of soup, my mother in law had ordered 3 shrimp cocktails..and one night the 4 adults split 5 different deserts. There was always enough food.

We were in an inside stateroom, since you don't spend a lot of time in the room anyways. We were on the 6th floor in the middle and it was small, but we managed. Our stateroom attendant was always cleaning and tidying up our room. Every night he left a character made out of a towel for our kids, who just loved that. They couldn't wait to get back to the room everynight to see what kind of animal it was.

The activities on board were awesome, there were plenty to choose from depending on what you like. From learning to salsa, to comedy shows, trivia games, and much much more. There was never a dull moment.

I highly recommend the Blue Laggon Dolphin Encounter in Nassau. The boat ride is 25 minutes to the island but the kids loved getting into the pool to hug, kiss, dance and touch the dolphin. Very well worth the money!! The island of Blue Lagoon has and aqua park and inflatable slides and things on the beach and in the water..I recommend these ones instead of the aqua park at Coco Cay, since you have to pay for that one and the swim to it is further out...plus you only get 50 minutes on the inflatables. I recommend the ones on Blue Lagoon Island instead, especially if your going there to do the Dolphin or Sea Lion encounter since its all included. The only thing I was happy to pay for in Coco Cay was the Unlimited use of the giant inflatable waterslide, which is on land. The kids spent about 2 hours on it, and it's unlimited. I believe it was only $15 or $20 for the day, but well worth it on my end. My husband snorkeled in Coco Cay and said it was worth it and amazing.

All in all my family loved the trip, the different things that we did and shared will stay with us for a lifetime. The service was impeccable and the staff on RCCL was professional and fun. I don't have anything bad to say. It was a great choice on my part to try Monarch of the Seas and before we left the ship my husband and I already booked our next cruise for October next year. Looking forward to going to the Eastern Carribbean in Oct. 2012. Great Job, Well Done RCCL!!!!!
