My Mom won a cruise - so this review is based with this in mind. The ship itself was wonderful - we had an oceanview stateroom. Staff, food, amenities, etc. - all wonderful. I would definitely go on another cruise (with my husband this time!), but to ports that are a bit more developed. Something like Alaska or maybe even a transatlantic cruise would be nice. I enjoyed the days we were at sea the most.

Ask before buying things on board the ship! I paid for a "boot camp" - but then was charged an additional 'gratuity'. What?? Also, be sure you ask what the lecture on fitness is for - ours was a one-hour infomercial for purchasing products...what a waste of time.

Stay away from ports that are built exclusively for a cruise line. That was our experience with Labadee, Haiti and Falmouth, Jamaica. I would not recommend an excursion unless you review them online first. I would highly recommend you NOT pay for excursions while going to these ports, because it's simply a waste of money. I actually got a full refund on the excursion to Mayfield Falls (Jamaica). Long story - but just trust me on this!
