This was our first cruise. We decided to take this 5 day cruise to see if liked cruises be fore taking a longer cruise. IIt seemed that all there was on board was several bars, shops selling jewelery, a few places to eat and shops selling Royal Caribbean clothing. The shops Sales Associates would stand out in the middle of the main walkway harking there items - "come into my store" - like a Mexico mercado. If you wanted a drink at the bar you had to wait in line for 15 minutes. Even though the bar had 3 bartenders - all of them the slowest bartenders I've ever witnessed. Food in the Windjammer was buffet style and tasted like institutional food. Too few activities for so many people. Activities were few and same ones repeated over the course of the day. Once you've done everything, which you can easily do in a day, there's nothing left to do except drink and eat. The drink packages are over priced and cater to alcoholics as you'd have to drink about 6 drinks a day just to break even. Then there's still the problem of getting the drink at the crowded bars.

The food was marginal at best. The menu was mostly the same with a few entrees changed every night. Each entree had an elaborate name and description but once tasted turned out to be overcooked and the flavors did not go well together.

We has a junior suite and while the room was attractive our cabin steward was terrible. Our mini fridge was empty when we arrived and I asked him twice to have it filled. He explained it wasn't his responsibility but the bars and he would tell them. Never got done. He eventually told me to call room service instead. Additionally he was never around. i always saw other cabin stewards whenever I walked the halls but ours was no where to be found.

All activities on board were too few and most were lame. Additionally the same activities were repeated at different times during the day. No new activities added. The entertainment was lousy. I've seen better high school productions.
