We are cruise addicts, averaging about 4 cruises a year. January, we were on the
Explorer of the Seas and in May we were on the Voyager of the Seas and just left
on August 30th on The Navigator of the Seas. The Navigator is even nicer than
her sister ships (Explorer & Voyager) in beauty. The ship is magnificent. The
service in this ship is excellent. The crew and staff were friendly and
accommodating and made us feel very much at home. The quality of the food was a
little disappointing and very mediocre, however the service was outstanding. The
Windjammer particularly needs to improve, especially at the omelet station at
breakfast. It's too congested and needs to have it's own island as the Explorer
& Voyager have. The Jade buffet was a very nice touch and Johnny Rockets was
outstanding. We would have to rate this cruise from a 1 to 10 a definite 8. The
other disappointment was the production shows, however the paid entertainment
that were hired were excellent. The singers were screamers, loud was their only
volume and the productions just lacked in entertainment. The cruise director,
Jeffrey Arpin, has to be the best cruise director in the entire cruising fleet.
He was marvelous and very entertaining. We really enjoyed him as he was a first
rate stand-up comic and had the audience enthralled. The ports of the call, with
the exception of Nassau, were good. Nassau should be eliminated, especially
docking on a Sunday, where most stores are closed and we’re only there until 2
pm, which leaves little time for exploring. Overall we give Royal Caribbean an
outstanding for trying and making our trip enjoyable and we recommend the
Navigator to all who are considering the ship. You will not regret sailing on
this ship. We are looking forward to our next cruise on Royal Caribbean.
