As this was our 1st cruise and we really did not know what to expect and such, we were really lucky that the whole thing had been arranged as an incentive trip by Carrier. All the contractor's in the North Texas area that qualified were treated to this cruise. I have never enjoyed a vacation this much in my life! The ship is by no means one of their largest and it was over 10 years old at the time but the service we received more than made up for that. Our cabin steward, O'Neal, was a real hoot and we were always surprised by some type of personal touch he would leave in our room. Our wait staff was very enjoyable and I am unable to find our vacation book at this time or I would be able to let you know their names as well. Two funny little guys from the Philippines. The food during the day could have had more of a selection but we certainly did not go in need of anything. We loved St. Thomas and look forward to vacationing there one day. We stayed aboard ship at our next port as we wanted to spend more time on the ship but did get off at St. Croix. It was a little run down but very quaint and we enjoyed our time there. Met some very interesting transplants from Texas even. Our room was an Ocean view, no balcony, and by the end of the cruise we were tired of the small bathroom but our overall experience was well worth any inconvenience we may have felt. After all, we really didn't have to pay a thing for it.

We are currently booked for a June cruise aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas sailing out of Galveston. This time, even though I am paying, we have a balcony and sitting area. Our daughter, who will be 7 in May, will be joining us. We usually go to the coast for her b-day and this year we gave her the option of going to Cancun or on a cruise. She said all we had talked about was how much we loved our cruise, so she wanted to go on a boat. Honey, that's a big boat!!
