I have sailed on 2 of the Disney Cruise Line Ships in the past but for my 40th Birthday, I wanted to try something different. From all the commercials and talk about Royal Caribbean, I couldn't wait to go on the new Oasis of the Seas. There were 3 couples, we all had our own cabins with verandahs. We were located on the 11th floor which was great.

Very dissapointed in the room service. Meaning, my past cruises, there was ice machines on each floor. The gentleman taking care of us was hard to find. It was like a goose chase trying to get ice, extra towels, etc. No laundry areas or iron areas on the ship. You had to pay for these services but couldn't receive laundry the same day unless you paid extra.

Morning, I would go down to get an iced coffee and it was additional $$ for flavored. $3.50 at a whack! Cup cake store, $2.50 per cup cake. Not complimentary. Each time you wanted a soda, you had to show your room key to see if you had the "soda package". Even at dinner time . . . pain in the neck! Never had the same waiters each night, so I have no idea who the tips went to. Dinner menu was ok . . .never really changed from night to night in the main dining. The waiters were really hard to find once the dinners were delivered. Trying to find someone on the ship to help you was very scarce too.

Last day of the trip, we noticed on our bill we had a $50 towel charge for not returning the pool towels. They swipe your room key each time you get new towels or return your towels. My husband returned ours the night before but had to argue with staff from 6:00 am - 7:30 am on the last day. Guest services was always packed, never enough staff.

The ship was beautiful and the drinks were filled with alcohol but I was really dissapointed with Royal Caribbean. Disney always goes over and above and I expected the same from such a big company. Really left a sour taste in my mouth. Especially celebrating my 40th, never a mention of my celebration the entire time of my trip, and my husband made documentation well in advance.

Just ok . . .nothing special - hated to pay for the little extras that were not complimentary. Cup cakes, flavored iced coffee, etc.

Stateroom was nice and always kept clean. But could never find our stateroom guy that was taking care of us.

We played Bingo, which was so much fun and a lot of laughs. We didn't do many of the onboard activities.

We rented jet ski's in Haiti and that was so much fun. It was our 1st time, so we all had a ball. We did the four wheeling in Cozumel but we just drove around in a circle most of the time and the roads were horrible and very tough on the body. This was our first time on four wheelers but probably wouldn't do again. Area wasn't that great.

We got off the ship at Haiti, Labadee which was beautiful but the beach area was loaded with rocks and no place to really swim without cutting your feet. Costa Maya, we never exited the ship because of all the warnings with Pirates and the army helicopters and boats going around the ship. Felt a little nervous leaving the ship. Cozumel was very yucky. Nothing I could ever have pictured. Police on the streets with machine guns, no beach areas, road and buildings destroyed from the past storms.

We made our own fun but for the money we paid, I would pass on going to these locations again.
