Just returned from a week long trip, we had an amazing time. Normally I only find time to post my experience when it's a bad one, but RCI did such a fine job from start to finish, I plan to write a few letters to them as well!! If you have any questions or need any help, ask for Gustavo in Guest Services - he was friendly calming and delightful to talk to! We were a family of four that booked our travel with an agency, think I will book direct next time. Children are 11 and 15 (our 15 year old son is 6ft tall 170lbs).

I think that traveling with the kids, we put the emphasis on the fun and the shows. We only ate in the dining room twice all week. Plenty of choices for food all over the ship. Dining room was great, room service was great, but my kids AND husband loved the pizza the best, go figure!!

We booked our cruise only one week before sailing, we were told it was the last cabin on the ship. We had cabin 9327 on the 9th floor overlooking the ocean, the Boardwalk and the AquaTheater. Loved our cabin, but it was tight for a week with two older kids. View was incredible and our stateroom attendant Rommel was always ready to assist, never missed a beat and was extra kind to my kids.

We enjoyed all the onboard shows, I couldn't believe I was on a ship watching some of them!! We loved Hairspray and still can't believe that's not all the actors from Broadway! The Aqua show was fun and unique - we live in Florida but haven't ever seen anything close. The ice skating show, the acrobatic show, comedy show (we saw it twice!) All the shows were original and enjoyable, we would see them all again!!

While in St. Maarten we booked the trip to Prickly Pear in Advance. We took a boat over to a small tropical island for lunch and snorkeling and then sailed back. Idyllic setting, everything you would expect a private island in the Caribbean to be....turquoise water, clean sandy beach, thatched grassy umbrellas, Alan the bartender and Barbequer.....we snorkeled the reef, saw turtles and an eel!

Overall we loved our trip......biggest complaints.....lines to get back on the ship in St. Maarten and St. Thomas and lines for My Time Dining. Getting on and off the ship, went smoothly and quickly - we did roll off our own luggage. We did the Flowrider, rock climbing wall, zipline, used the kids club, saw all the shows, we tried Johnny Rockets, watched a painter, played trivia, bought photos, gambled and we laughed and laughed!! Three things: 1. Call to arrange cell phone service/texting with your provider in advance if you need it. 2. TAKE a power strip, we literally found two receptacles. 3. Take extra sunscreen, lots of beautiful weather ahead, have a wonderful time!!
