Wonderful ship, which has seen better days and needs refurbishing. The on board service is excellent and the eye for detail amazing. Both boarding the ship and disembarkation was managed extremely well. I have no criticism of the ship other than refurbishment is required. Our suite groaned and creaked with the movement of the ship waking us up regularly during the night. The analogue TV in our suite was not the best and made watching TV pointless due to the poor image quality. The intercom system in our cabin didn't work hence we had to open the door to hear any announcements. Would I travel again on this ship? Probably not, for the amount I paid I believe I can obtain a better quality ship. Unfortunately Australia usually gets the ships, which no longer meet or satisfy the expectations of northern cruisers in the USA or Europe. I believe this will change as our expectations evolve.

The food is excellent in terms of quality and variety. There was a great selection of hot and cold foods as well as Asian cuisine.

Our suite was spacious but old and needs refurbishing. The cupboards etc creaked and popped all night with movement of the ship, which repeatedly woke us during sleep.

There were many activities to choose from ranging from treasure hunts to bingo or meditation classes etc.

Most of the shore excursions were great with the exception of the Cradle Mountain excursion, which was appalling and filled with inane comments from the tour guide. I would strongly suggest this tour be avoided! We didn't have a toilet break between 8am till 3pm in the afternoon making it very uncomfortable for senior citizens and children. We only stayed at Cradle Mountain for 20 minutes after traveling more than 2 hours to get there.Followed by more hours of traveling back to the ship and arriving at the pier at the same time that the ship was due to depart!!

I had booked an 8 days cruise from Sydney Australia to Tasmania stopping at Melbourne, Burnie and Hobart. Australia is an amazing country!!
