My favorite part was the WONDERFUL crew. The best I have ever had on a cruise. Always so polite and attentive. You will enjoy dinner and your stateroom and activities just because of the crew alone. The ports were left out of San Juan, Curaco, Aruba, Dominica and St Thomas. I really enjoyed Aruba and St Thomas as they were beautiful and people nice. Curaco was ok and Dominica had nice tour guides but they port was pretty scary. People were really aggressive in trying to get you a cab, hairbraiding and tours. We meet some folks on the elevator that said they wil try to take your watch off your wrist. I would book a tour there and not walk around alone as there is really just ghetto around port. Left out of San Juan and it is wise to get there a day early so you know you will make it so you dont have to meet the ship in another port. Not a big selection of flights into and out of San Juan.

Food in specialty restaurants was really good. Chops and portofino are both worth the extra cost. The staff is great!!!!!! The Murder dinner theater was a lot of fun and you get dinner in the Portofino restaurant plus wine is included for FREE....that alone is worth it if you enjoy some wine. We didnt go to the wine dinner but some others told us they really enjoyed it.,

Windjammer...hmm...not so good. A step above high school cafeteria. The omlette maker in the am was my new best friend.

Reflections for the dinner seating is very good and the staff is wonderful. You can also go there for breakfast and lunch if you have time and it is much better than the windjammer

Cleaned all the time. I think everytime we left the stateroom attendant cleaned it. The balcony was wonderful and worth the extra money. Bed would be my only change. We woke up everyday with a sore back. Look for all the nooks and crannies for storage such as the sides of mirrors and put suitcases under the bed to create extra room.

Pay activities: Bingo was fun but a little expensive. Wine tasting was really interesting and worth the extra $15.
Free activities: Dont miss the Quest ususally on the last night. Really funny but naughy so stay away if you dont appreciate that kind of humor. Try to get a team together to participate as this is much more fun than watching. Belly flop contest and love and marriage game are both very entertaining. Crew talent show is really good....especially if you are an american idol fan.

Never visited spa (hard to believe as we are spa people) but heard from others that they loved it!

Had fun in the casino but didnt stay long. Was winnig on the way out....losing on the way back. Hmmmmm I have heard that is how it always is on a cruise ship.

We went to the port show thinking that we were going to learn about the ports but it is all shopping advice. I heard from other people the shopping book for $25 seemed worth it if you like to go on a treasure hunt as there were lots of free items to get. You just had to visit the store. The poeple I met said it paid for itself 10xs over. I also heard it was a great way to keep the kids entertained while mom shopped.

BEST ADVICE: get to ALL activities EARLY to get a decent seat. Plan sea days early as stuff books up fast if you want to visit spa etc.

Dont miss..... snorkelling anywhere is great. We did the sail, snorkel and swing in Aruba and it was great. Dont chicken out...get on the swing.

Hato caves in Dominica were interesting but hot. I could have done without the tour to the museum and curaco factory as both were pretty lame. See Hato caves on your own. Wawa the tour guide is a wonderful lady....really class act.

St Thomas: From cruise ship go out of gate to left 3 minute walk to the sky ride. Great views, adorable parrot show at 10:30 and 1:30 that is free and Bushwackers. So delicious but I'm warning you...... very strong!

So So: Dominica. The river tubing and emerald pool. You drive a long time to tube in river for about 45 minutes at the MOST. They also stop at a bar/church for a rum punch or refreshment for 10 minutes so you can use the bathroom because at the emerald pool you have to actualy pay a dollar for a dirty bathroom with no toliet paper. Then more driving for a 15 minute hike into rainforest with a 10 minute swim at the emerald pool and another 15 minute hike out. The tour guide was really nice but it just wasnt worth 76 per person. I would suggest doing a tour that doesnt try to fit so much in for one tour because it is all driving.

If you go...bring some money to SHOP. If you love jewelry this is the trip for you. I shopped in St Thomas and got great stuff for low prices. Also take some time in old san juan...There are a few outlets...Coach, Douney and Bourke, Burberry and Polo have amazing buys.

Best Advice: You can store luggage at San Juan airport (near American Airlines terminal) and take a taxi back to town to shop. It is about a $20 cab ride to airport from port and $20 to and from town. This is much better then sitting at aiport for hours waiting for flight.

Best advice: Dont be shy! Meet other people. It makes the trip so much more interesting. Promise!
