The state room attendant was the first experience - Sherine was her name. She bossed us around. Told us she wasn't happy with Royal Caribbean - liked her other cruise line better as it was a smaller line. We didn't use the card to tell her how to show when we out of the room so she could clean it for us. So we did that. But guess what - the room wasn't cleaned! We were always on pins and needles with her. She even told us we were "lazy." Hello, Royal Carribean. This is not a good employee.

We thought the food in the dining room was fine. The Windjammer was good, but why not have food there all the time. It could have been a little bit better there. The Portofino experience was very poor. We were scheduled there for 9pm on my birthday. We waited at the door for someone to seat us. No eye contact for several minutes. It took an employee from somewhere else to walk in to get someone to work with us. We got seated an waited 25 minutes with our wine sitting in a bucket!!! When I got up to pour my wife our glasses, then we got action. I was dressed in my tux and she in a lovely dress. This was very poor. And there is a $20 up charge just to dine in this restaurant. Not very well done. Food ok. My lobster was only three bites. Tasty, but not much.

Ok, but as I stated above, the attendant made the experience poor. We had a balcony which was nice.

We enjoyed the wine tasting. The various nightly shows were pretty average. The opening guy standing on his head was different. The violin guy was a great personality but different. The Motown guys weren't up to par. I am not a hard to please guy. These acts are just not that great.

We thought the excursions to Amalfi by boat and Pompeii, Ancient Rome and Florence on your Own were great. All a bit pricey, but we could count on getting back to the boat. The guides were all top notch. Truly excellent! All worth the price!

So, we are coming back feeling very good about our excusions. The food was good in the main dining room. The ship itself it beautiful. We enjoyed the fun in the piano bar. We did have a lot of fun! This is an amazing trip over all. We avoided our stateroom attendant. We had good service at our table in the dining room. Life was basically good.
