Other than the 2 hour long, hot wait in the terminal before embarking the cruise was wonderful. Ship was well laid out, very clean and stylish, smooth sailing during the whole cruise, staff wonderful and entertainment good.

The food both in the Dining room and the Windjammer was excellent. Staff very helpful, friendly and extremely pleasant. The food was presented in a stylish manner and was pleasing to the eye. The waiter always made sure we were happy with our choice and if we had any special requests he was more than accommodating.

Stateroom was well laid out and stylish. Great bed. Didn't get much use out of balcony due to cold and heavy winds. Cabin steward was wonderful as they always are. Had lots of fun with him. He attended to our every need. The only problem we had and we should have complained to the Purser was the broken radio. We were awakened one night by low music and thought it was the cabin next door had their TV too loud. However, upon investigation I found the volume wasn't turned off on the radio. The next day when we went to turn it back on the knob wouldn't work. We made the Steward aware and he reported it. Upon returning from dinner that evening we noticed it still was broken so we mentioned it to the Steward again and he said he would call maintenance again. When we returned to the cabin around midnight the knob was still broken and the music was blaring away. It was too late to call the Steward so we were kept up all night with loud music. Needless to say, we were exhaused and cranky in the morning and our friends in the next cabin told us they heard it too. It eventually got fixed late the following day. We never turned in on after that because we were afraid of it breaking again so we missed most of the announcements that came over the P/A system. Loved the shower now that you don't have to fight with a shower curtain.

I didn't think there was much available considering we were stuck on the ocean for 10 days. The evening entertainment was excellent but most of the time we just read or played Scrabble. The only negative thing I have to say about all the entertainment venues wherever we went on the ships was the volume was way too loud and made it almost painful to sit and watch. Do they assume everyone is deaf? I am sure if they took it down almost 1/2 it would be just fine.

We went on our own in the ports. We were going to take some excursions but heard a lot of complaints about them being overpriced for what you got. There were many delays in getting off and on the ship because they were so disorganized. In fact, the ship was held up for almost an hour because one of the tours was delayed getting back. There wasn't much to see in Cartagena and after walking around for two hours we returned to the ship before lunch.

Enjoyed all the ports we stopped at such at Ponta delgada, Malaga, Cartagena and Barcelona. They were all beautiful cities especially Barcelona where we stayed for two days before departing home. The people were friendly in all the ports and didn't have too much trouble with translating our needs.
