Overall we felt we had been "ripped off". The price we paid was not reflected in the quality and service we received.

We did not like eating from melamine type plates and mugs throughout the day and expected proper crockery as we have always had with other cruise companies. The food in the Windjammer restaurant was repeatedly cold or tepid at best. The pier terminal in Venice was an absolute nightmare for queues, and the stateroom was not ready until after 2pm,, when we had been told 1pm, and therefore we were looking forward to going into Venice itself before we set sail. However the delay meant that was not possible. The excursion prices were astranomical, so we made our own way at all the ports we visited, but took their shuttle bus for $14 pp., which was overcharged to go about a mile! We could have walked back from the town on one of the stops. Entertainment was ok, but not spectacular, and would not go with them again, as there are too many negatives and too pricey for what you get.

Food in the evening restaurant was good and the service there was good, but the wines and spirits prices were very overcharged. Windjammer restaurant (self service) was appalling as most of the time it was only tepid, and at breakfast the fried eggs were like bullets and stone cold. OK if you like them that way!!

Stateroom was ok for size. We had a balcony and looked for the usual tea and coffee facility within the stateroom, but alas there were none. Apparently you only get those if you pay to have a suite!!

They appeared to be ok, but we did not take part in any as we only had one day at sea and just wanted to relax as we had been sightseeing the other days.

Listened to the available talks on the excursions, but the price put us off. We thought P and O were expensive, but did theirs at the time, but Royal Caribbean are even more expensive, so decided against them.

Overall, we saw what we wanted to do apart from a great disappointment of not being able to see Venice, but would not go with Royal Caribbean again, and certainly would not advise any of our friends to go with them either as it was to us a "queue cruise" as everything there were large queues, and also the biggest "rip off" we have experienced!!!
