Saga Rose Cruise Review

Excerpts from Saga Cruises' Website
about the Saga Ruby

Following her £17 million refit, Saga Ruby is already proving herself a success with the Saga passengers who have cruised aboard her. We believe this is because she shares many of her much-admired qualities with her sister ship, Saga Rose, and her wide-open decks and spacious interior complement the exceptional service, delicious cuisine and excellent facilities.

“Saga, together with an experienced team of designers, has worked exceptionally hard to create a distinctive and unique ship.”
Captain Alistair McLundie

Days at sea aboard Saga Ruby are a pleasure: her newly expanded Lido has a Mediterranean feel and is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Alternatively, you could head down to the Aquarius Spa with its indoor pool, saunas, steam room and hair salon.

Dining is always a key aspect to any Saga cruise and Saga Ruby is no exception, with mouth-watering meals served at one leisurely sitting in the graceful dining room, or in the more intimate View restaurant, which has the ambience of an exclusive restaurant as it seats only 30. Just steps away from View restaurant, the cosy preView bar is a delightful venue for pre-dinner drinks.

In the evening you can watch West-end style shows and cabarets, sit back with a cocktail in the classic South Cape Bar, watch a film in the cinema, or enjoy the quiet ambience of the ship’s library.

At the end of the day you can retire to your comfortable cabin. All cabins combine sumptuous fabrics and calming colour schemes, with high quality furnishings and flat screen televisions.
