This was my first SeaDream cruise and sadly, my last. Many problems with ship, especially the staterooms. The lack of balcony or windows that open, being the deal breaker for us. The food and service was excellent. The small ship size was confining after 8 days. Lack of shaded areas, sewer smell in halls on occasions and to top if off an engine fire causing lack of power overnight with no AC in cabin with no window was unbearable. Dinner was a barbeque on deck at 10 pm and quite a hassle with no flashlights. Whew, NOT a luxury cruise experience. The ports were interesting. All extras for shore excursions were pricey IMO and I didn't go on any.
The food was very good and service excellent
See above for all the problems. The bathroom is so tiny as to be non functioning for a tall person. The carpets were slightly faded and spotted. The biggest thing was no balcony or open windows, especially after the 3 generators went out in fire. Small lounge and dining room can be claustrophobic when crowded. Lack of shaded areas to sit.
Had many onboard activities but I didn't use them. Mostly water sports.
Didnt take any tours since they were pretty pricey. Mostly small towns so we did them on own.
Started in Dubrovnik, used to be great town, but overcrowded. Sailed to Hvar, small beach town and nice old town area. Rovinj and Piran similar small towns with old area. Split, nice palace to visit and pretty town. Trieste, old port town with little to see in port area. Venice, port area quite aways from city center. Docked at 7pm and had to leave in morning. Many booked extra nights to see it. Also, in Dubrovnik I suggest booking extra days since there is not enough time otherwise since ship embarks at 2 pm and sails at 6pm.
