The new company's very first ship, Seabourn Pride entered service in 1988. Planned and built as a larger and even more comfortable alternative to Cunard's Sea Goddesses - back then Seabourn's major competitors - Seabourn Pride was also the first of the sister ships to be equipped with "French Balconies" in May, 2000.
