Really a spectacular 5 star hotel experience encompassed within a ship. With all food and drink covered in the cruise fare, one was tempted to be a bit sybaritic (the first two days back, I kept having a craving for Black Label and caviar.

First rate service was a reality. The room was cleaned to perfection; usually within a few minutes. The service staff instantly knew our names; and how to take care of us.

Also first rate were the restaurants and stand outs were the wine stewards, who relished their job and did it very well. (I was in the wine business for a bit.)

The entertainment was entertaining (but not of much interest to me.)

The room itself was another standout. A wonderful deck with lounge chairs and a table; a comfortable living room well appointed; one of the larger beds I've inhabited (complete with no less than 12 pillows) was also a standout. The marble bathroom was complete and comfortable, and the walk in closet would have been sufficient for anyone but Marguerite who simply brought everything (she was the last off the liner and required two stevedore to offload her things.)

A really great 12 days. HIGHLY recommended; and upon reflection, one of the true bargains of travel.
