Fantastic experience on our first cruise. Definitely will go again. Ship was great, cabins fine-had a slight worry about space prior to departure but no need-certainly enough room for 2. Attentiveness of service staff was superb, especially the Orientals who put shame to the British in terms of manners and general pleasantry. Couldn’t eat any more food-people described it before we went and I was skeptical but I was made to eat humble pie in addition to the full breakfast, 5 course lunch, 5 course dinner in addition to a seemingly endless supply of elevenses, afternoon teas etc. We enjoyed a cruise and stay break with the second week in Majorca. In retrospect I would never cruise first again as the 2nd part of the holiday is such an anti climax despite enjoying Majorca greatly. Marks out of 100 for the Carousel would be well in excess of 80 with only very minor downsides-the general overpricing of photographs, phone calls and lack of a supermarket style shop. Definitely recommend to anybody thinking of cruising for the first time.
