Pre-Cruise Review about “Sunquest” – Canadian Seller of “My Travel” (Sun Cruises) in Canada.

We are booked on a 1 week cruise on the Carousel “Soukes & Spain” departing Aug 21, 2004
The only reason we booked this cruise is that it stops in 6 ports and 5 of them we had not been to before. Four are very interesting ports such as Casablanca, Gibraltar, Ibiza, and Palma de Mallorca.

Today is one day before our departure. Having taken 20+ cruises previously I had hoped for some information about our cruise prior to departure. This was not to be. The tickets were “Airport Pickup” and so absolutely no information other than the original brochure was available. Even when I called Sunquest directly today I was told “I’m sorry all information is available from your travel agent”. When I called the agent they had nothing more than what was in the brochure.

Information as to how many formal nights, what land tour where available, what documentation should we bring, did we get the right deck and cabin category that we paid for, etc would have been nice to know. I’m sure there are numerous other questions I can’t think of right now.

Having received such excellent documentation on previous cruises with Princess, Holland America, Carnival, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, etc had me spoiled.

I’m not sure if the British travelers who book directly with “My Travel” fare any better as far as getting information, I’ll find out on the cruise.

So if you book with “Sunquest” on a “My Travel” cruise, be aware that the information that is in the original brochure is all you are going to get.

When I get back from the cruise I will try to do a detailed review about it.
