Name of Ship: Sunbird
Sailing Date: November 17th, 2000
Itinerary:
This was my first cruise and we had to travel to Tenerife to board the ship
which at the time was a bit scary has id never flown before.
Anyway on arrival at the dock where we were to meet the Sunbird it was a very
hot day. We boarded the Sunbird and were told top meet in the Can Can Lounge
where we were to get our cruise cards and then shown to our cabin. We were
staying on the main deck in an inside cabin has i mean we were after all only
sleeping in the cabin and the cabins we all the same anyway well decorated and
set out with plenty of space for us.
The ship to look at was massive but after a couple of hours we sort of got to
know a few of the other passengers and crew and found our way around most of the
ship without a problem.
After dinner we ended up in the Chart Room which is a bar right at the top of
the ship where we started speaking with the Captain where we found out that he
only lives a few miles from us back home in Cornwall England when he's away from
the ship.
Our first port of call was Antigua in the Caribbean here it was dirty and smelly
so I decided to stay on the ship has I hadn't seen much of onboard yet and went
swimming in one of the two pools which were at a temp: of 80 degrees,
