When this ship entered service as the Song of Norway in 1970, it was the first-ever newbuild ordered by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. And in another "first", Song of Norway in 1978 became the first-ever purpose-built cruise ship to be "stretched" by inserting a 85 ft. midsection. Now named Sundream, this ship joined the Sun Cruises fleet in 1997.

Built in 1969 for RCCL by Wartsila of Helsinki, Finland and named Song of Norway. First ship to have extended mid section installed in 1978. Entered service for Sun Cruises in Summer 1997.
