Wind Star Cruise Line

Windstar Cruises' first "sail cruiser", the Wind Star, was launched in 1986 after more than three years of planning and construction. Not a classic tall ship but a modern cruise liner with sails, the Wind Star and her two sister vessels feature computer-operated sails and a smart-casual environment. In 2011 Windstar was purchased by Anschutz Corporation and will be operated by TAC Cruises LLC, a unit of Anschutz.
