Yes, Egypt uses pounds and that is the correct conversion rate for today. I haven't been to Egypt in almost 30 years, but being a third world country for the most part it is generally much cheaper to eat and get around. Just be careful where you eat. I came down with a ghastly case of the Pharoah's revenge that took a week to get over.
