It is OK, but while I haven't stayed there, the Holiday Inn Express was just recently refurbished across the street and sells for about the same rate. Both are in the Condado district (about 2-3 miles from San Juan's Old Section and the cruise terminal) and you would need to take a taxi to/from the above. There is a beach within walking distance from the hotels.
