I've done the Tulume trip using the ferry ride...It was rough, but not that bad....It's a crap shoot if you do it on your own....they do suspend the ferry's if the sea gets too rough...wouldn't want to be on the mainland and stuck there.....They are building a very nice ferry port building....maybe they will upgrade the ferries too....Happy Sailing...
