vacation bound: you know, it is possible to separate the personal tragedy from the business side of this. Are we supposed to stop and have moment of silence for all who have died in auto accidents when we buy a new car?

I have a friend who was on a jury for a lawsuit. He said it was as clear as day that the plaintiff had no case, but one juror kept saying "well, we ought to give her something for her trouble", just because the defendent was the telephone company and "they had the money". Thankfully the rest of the jurors finally got this one idiot to change her vote and the plaintiff didn't get a penny.
